Workshops
Registration Now Open

Registration for the various PLUNC workshops are now open. To apply please send an email to info@plunc.pt stating the workshop name and sending a short bio. The number of places is limited and the selection is made by order of registration.

PLUNC workshops are essentially hands-on and address some of the themes that will be discussed during the 4 days of the festival. Recomposing the Web: Writing Software to Investigate Software by Ben Grosser is inspired by net art works, tactical media and hacktivism in order to deconstruct the web and understand the impact of software in our lives. James Auger brings us a speculative design workshop Rethinking Smart questioning the role that designers can play in order to address the complex societal problems that face us, beyond basic smart products. Through Circa Diem, Filipa Tomaz proposes the design, programming and assembly of a set of dioramas that reflect a narrative in the landscape. This workshop also exists in a version for families with the construction of interactive postals and pop-ups. Finally Antonio Quiroga Waldthaler presents a workshop on media archaeology in From e-Waste to Sound Device, transforming electronic waste and obsolete equipment into sound objects and culminating in a sound performance in one of the festival nights.

More information about the workshops, locals and schedule can be found here.
